I would go for an eclectic mix of years, even tho' I'm firmly in the 1977-rules-all camp...

I think you'd be pretty happy to have saved those from any flood or fire!

Thanks for the suggestions. The question was not as paranoid as it sounded in my case. On The Big Island of Hawaii where I live, I live not only near the most active volcano in the world, but there is always the threat of hurricanes, flash flooding, brush fires and just a few months ago we had an earthquake that measured 6.5 on the Richter scale. This island has the busiest Civil Defense agency in the country. I learned years ago to keep all my important papers, ID's, bank book,ect. in a "flee bag" that could be quickly grabbed in an emergency and I was thinking of doing the same with just 1 binder of CD's. Never hurts to be prepared.
